The student volunteer army who provide grocery delivery service to those in need in New Zealand during the Covid-19 lockdown, are now available in Hamilton city.
The volunteer army has collaborated with brands as part of the national volunteer response and they offer their services to older New Zealanders aged 65+, essential workers, and people with medical conditions.
The SVA are present across New Zealand, and Hamilton is one of the cities that are launching their services this week, along with Tauranga and Blenheim.
The volunteers shop for groceries and deliver them to households within their local community.
They use personal protective equipment at all times to ensure their safety and of the people that we are servicing.
The volunteers pick up groceries from supermarkets and then deliver the shopping at the customer’s door in a contactless process.
